Registered Veterinary Technician
Veterinary life has been a part of Jessica’s journey since she could walk. Growing up on her family’s ranch in Merced, she had experience assisting veterinarians her whole life. She was heavily involved in 4-H and FFA where she showed beef cattle and quarter horses. She decided that she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary technology in 1999 where she attended school at San Joaquin Valley College in Fresno. After receiving her AS degree in veterinary technology, she passed the state boards and became a registered veterinary technician. Her passion was emergency medicine starting after her externship at veterinary emergency service just prior to graduation. She continued saving lives for 18 years! After moving to Livermore in 2017, she joined Livermore Pet Hospital (which is now Livermore Family Pet Hospital) where she continued her journey as the technician, she is now. She enjoys sharing her experiences and knowledge with her co-workers, students and new staff and coming up with new training techniques. On her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and hanging out with her labrador; Kanon. Did you know that Jessica was Miss Congeniality for the LaGrange rodeo in 1996?
